  • self-rising cornmeal - 2 c
  • self-rising flour - 4 Tbsp
  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • milk
  • egg - 1 item
  • large can cream-style corn - 1 item
  • chopped jalapeno peppers optional - 1/3 c
  • ground chuck, browned and seasoned - 1 lb
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • pkg - 8 oz

How to make mexican cornbread:

Mix all ingredients. Pour in a heated greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350°.

Note: Recipe may be halved and baked in a large heated skillet.
