- soda - 1/8 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 1/3 c
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- cream-style corn - 1/2 c
- self-rising meal - 3/4 c
- small eggs - 2 item
- small hot pepper, chopped - 1 item
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix all ingredients except cheese. Pour half of batter into hot, greased, black skillet. Sprinkle cheese on top and add remainder of batter. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
