Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- chopped onions - 1 c
- whole kernel corn
- shredded Velveeta cheese - 1 c
- chopped hot pepper - 3 Tbsp
- cornmeal plain - 2 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
In a mixing bowl, combine first 6 ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients; add to dry ingredients and stir only until moistened. (Add water if necessary.)
