  • salt - 2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 1 c
  • chopped onions - 1 c
  • whole kernel corn
  • shredded Velveeta cheese - 1 c
  • chopped hot pepper - 3 Tbsp
  • cornmeal plain - 2 c

How to make mexican cornbread:

In a mixing bowl, combine first 6 ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients; add to dry ingredients and stir only until moistened. (Add water if necessary.) Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan or 10-inch heavy skillet. Bake at 350° for 3
