Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 2/3 c
- can cream-style corn - 1 oz
- yellow corn meal
- grated sharp cheese - 1 c
- jalapenos, seeded and chopped - 3 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Preheat the oven to 350°. Grease an 11 x 8-inch baking dish. Mix all ingredients in order listed, except cheese. Pour half the batter into prepared pan. Top with half the cheese. Add the rest of the batter and cover with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Serves 10 to 12.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
