Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- oil - 1/4 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- corn - 1 c
- corn meal
- sharp cheese - 1 c
- large sweet pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- or 2 hot peppers, chopped - 1 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix all but cheese. Pour 1/2 batter into greased preheated skillet. Sprinkle cheese over top. Pour remaining batter on top of cheese. Cook at 375° for about 30 minutes. Makes 1 large black skillet full.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
