Melt in your mouth chicken
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- light cream - 1 pt
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- curry powder - 1/2 tsp
- dry sherry - 1/4 c
- grated Swiss cheese - 1/2 lb
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- cooked, shredded chicken - 4 c
How to make melt in your mouth chicken:
Cook rice. Reserve. Saute cooked chicken in butter until lightly browned. Cool.Mix cornstarch, sherry and curry powder together in medium saucepan. Stir in cream. Mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Combine rice, chicken, cream sauce and 1 1/2 cups grated cheese in a 2-quart casserole or 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle remaining cheese and paprika on top. Heat until bubbly, about 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.
