Meatballs in sour cream sauce



  • milk - 1/4 c
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • dairy sour cream - 1/2 c
  • vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soft bread crumbs - 1 c
  • lean ground beef - 1 lb
  • onion powder - 1/2 tsp
  • hot cooked noodles - 1 item
  • medium onion, halved and sliced - 1 item
  • jar Heinz mushroom or brown gravy - 1 oz

How to make meatballs in sour cream sauce:

In large bowl, combine beef, bread crumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, milk, onion powder, garlic salt and pepper. Form into 20 meatballs, using a rounded tablespoonful for each. In large skillet, brown meatballs in oil; drain excess fat. Sprinkle meatballs with paprika. Add onion. Cover; cook over low heat 10 minutes.

In medium bowl, combine gravy and sour cream; pour over meatballs. Heat slowly, basting meatballs frequently. Do not boil. Serve over noodles. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired. Makes 4 servings.
