Sausage balls



  • chopped pecans - 1/2 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • buttermilk baking mix - 2 c
  • mild bulk sausage - 1 lb
  • grated apple with skin

How to make sausage balls:

Stuff turkey; rub outside with bacon fat or oleo and salt. Place in extra large brown paper bag. Seal opening securely with a wire tie. Place in roasting pan in cold oven. Bake at 500° for first hour, 400° for second hour and 300° for third hour. With this method, the turkey is always done to perfection, whether it's 12 pounds or 24 pounds.
