Marinated vegetable salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- diced onion - 1/2 c
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- chopped green peppers - 1/2 c
- can French-style green beans, drained - 1 oz
- jar pimento, drained - 1 oz
- can Shoepeg corn, drained - 1 oz
- can green peas, drained - 1 oz
How to make marinated vegetable salad:
Marinade:1 c. sugar3/4 c. vinegar1/2 c. vegetable oil1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper Combine all and cook over low heat until mixture boils. Pour over vegetables, stirring gently. Cover and chill 24 hours. Serves 8 to 10 people.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Salads, Marinades and rubs.
