Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 3 tsp
- water - 3 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- cottage cheese - 4 c
- Italian seasoning - 3 tsp
- minced onion - 1 c
- cans tomato paste - 3 oz
- shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 2 c
- to 18 manicotti shells - 16 item
How to make manicotti:
Saute meat and onions; drain fat. Add tomato paste, water, salt, pepper, sugar and Italian seasoning. Simmer 15 minutes. Fill dry manicotti shells with mixture of 3 cheeses. (Use narrow teaspoon to push cheese mixture into end of shell until filled.) Cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan with sauce. Place filled shells next to each other and cover with remaining sauce. Cover pan tightly with heavy-duty foil. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 350°.Recipe categories: Pasta, Beef, Manicotti.
