Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 5 c
- water - 1 c
- vinegar - 3 c
- raisins - 1 pkg
- large chopped onion - 1 item
- chopped garlic - 2 Tbsp
- currants - 1 pkg
- finely chopped ginger - 1/2 c
- sliced green mango - 4 lb
- Hawaiian chili pepper - 1 item
How to make mango chutney:
Cook ginger root and garlic in water for about 1 hour. Combine sugar and vinegar; simmer for 1 hour. Add sliced mango and cook until tender. Add remaining ingredients and cook until ready. Serve chutney with your favorite meat.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Chutneys.
