Raisin sauce for ham
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- cornstarch
- water
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- raisins - 1 c
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
How to make raisin sauce for ham:
Boil raisins in water 5 minutes. Add sugar mixed with cornstarch, spices, mustard and salt. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Stir in butter and vinegar. Serve hot. Makes 1 1/2 cups.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Savory sauces.
