Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 2/3 c
- vinegar - 2/3 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- raisins - 1 c
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- curry powder - 2 tsp
- small cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- candied citron - 1/4 c
- peeled and chopped mangoes or cooking apples - 4 c
- candied papaya - 1/4 c
How to make fruit chutney:
Combine all ingredients in large Dutch oven. Bring to boil and cook, uncovered, over low heat 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Chill. Yields 4 cups.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., South african, African.
