  • milk - 1 c
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • macaroni - 1 c
  • buttered bread crumbs
  • sharp grated cheese - 1 c

How to make macaroni and cheese:

While macaroni is cooking, thicken milk with cornstarch. Stir constantly to prevent scorching so it will not be lumpy. Melt cheese in sauce.

Drain macaroni and mix in sauce. Pour into greased casserole dish. Top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for approximately 15 to 20 minutes or until crumbs are browned.

It will be bubbling and heated thoroughly.
