Louisiana shrimp
Ingredients/Components
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- tomato sauce - 1 can
- hot pepper sauce - 1 tsp
- celery, thinly sliced - 1/4 c
- dried thyme leaves - 1/2 tsp
- stewed tomatoes - 1 can
- chopped parsley optional - 1 item
- small green pepper, cut into thin strips - 1 item
- medium shrimp, cleaned - 3/4 lb
- Minute Premium long grain rice
How to make louisiana shrimp:
Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add shrimp, onion, pepper and celery; cook and stir until shrimp are pink. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, hot pepper sauce, thyme and garlic powder; bring to boil. Stir in rice; cover. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork. Sprinkle with parsley.
