Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • olive oil - 1/2 c
  • chopped parsley - 1/2 c
  • large cloves garlic - 3 item
  • cans clams, drained reserve liquid - 3 item
  • black and red pepper and oregano to taste - 1 item

How to make linguine with white clam sauce:

Heat oil and 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan over low heat. Add garlic, parsley, pepper and oregano. Simmer 5 minutes. In another pan, melt remaining butter over low heat. Add flour and, stirring constantly, cook about 2 minutes. Slowly add clam juice while stirring. Combine the contents of both saucepans and simmer for 5 minutes. Add clams and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Serve over linguine.
