Linguine with clam sauce
Ingredients/Components
- dozen steamed clams or canned clams can be used - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- butter - 1 oz
- white wine - 1 oz
- olive oil - 1/2 oz
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper - 1/4 tsp
- garlic powder to taste - 1 item
- parsley, fresh - 1 item
- Romano cheese, as desired - 1 item
- Linguine Pasta - 1 lb
How to make linguine with clam sauce:
In large pot, steam clams in 1 cup of water. Remove clams and strain juice in pot. Remove clams from the shells and add to juice. Simmer juices with butter, wine, oil, garlic, salt and pepper. To the bread crumbs add: salt, pepper, garlic salt, parsley and cheese. Add more bread crumbs to the seasoned juices to thicken the juices into the sauce. Cook pasta al dente and drain.
