Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 gal
- celery salt - 1 tsp
- whole cloves - 1 tsp
- white vinegar - 2 qt
- cucumbers, sliced - 7 lb
- pickling spice - 1 tsp
- lime - 2 c
How to make lime pickles:
Let cucumbers soak 24 hours. Wash 3 times and let soak 3 hours. Mix vinegar and add other ingredients. Drain pickles; pour on vinegar mix and let stand overnight. Boil 35 minutes. Makes around 10 pints. May add green cake coloring, if desired.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Fruit, Appetizers.
