Layered vegetable casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- tapioca - 3 Tbsp
- cracker crumbs - 1/3 c
- sliced carrots - 2 c
- sliced celery - 2 c
- can green beans, drained - 1 item
- green pepper, cut into strips - 1/2 item
- 13 oz - 1 lb
How to make layered vegetable casserole:
Arrange carrots, celery, green pepper and beans in layers in buttered casserole dish. Combine tomatoes, tapioca, sugar and seasonings in a saucepan. Heat. Pour over vegetables. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with cracker crumbs and top with melted butter. Return to oven and bake, uncovered, about 1 hour.
