Ingredients/Components
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- clove garlic - 1 item
- ground chuck - 2 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- cans tomato sauce - 5 oz
- cans V-8 juice - 3 oz
- stalk celery - 1 item
- green pepper - 1/2 item
- egg - 1 item
- box lasagna noodles - 1 item
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- grated Mozzarella cheese - 20 oz
- Ricotta cheese - 8 oz
- oregano, parsley and pepper - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
How to make lasagna:
Brown ground chuck, onion and garlic in a large pot. When done, add tomato sauce, tomato paste, V-8 juice and 3 to 3 1/2 cups water. Add celery, green pepper and seasoning to taste. Cook on low heat 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 hours. Slowly add Parmesan cheese.Cook and drain lasagna noodles. Add egg to Ricotta and mix. Layer sauce, lasagna sauce, Ricotta and cheese. Repeat 3 more times in a 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
