Ingredients/Components

  • oil - 3 Tbsp
  • clove garlic - 1 item
  • ground chuck - 2 lb
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • cans tomato paste - 2 oz
  • cans tomato sauce - 5 oz
  • cans V-8 juice - 3 oz
  • stalk celery - 1 item
  • green pepper - 1/2 item
  • egg - 1 item
  • box lasagna noodles - 1 item
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • grated Mozzarella cheese - 20 oz
  • Ricotta cheese - 8 oz
  • oregano, parsley and pepper - 1 item
  • salt to taste - 1 item

How to make lasagna:

Brown ground chuck, onion and garlic in a large pot. When done, add tomato sauce, tomato paste, V-8 juice and 3 to 3 1/2 cups water. Add celery, green pepper and seasoning to taste. Cook on low heat 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 hours. Slowly add Parmesan cheese.

Cook and drain lasagna noodles. Add egg to Ricotta and mix. Layer sauce, lasagna sauce, Ricotta and cheese. Repeat 3 more times in a 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
