Sicilian meat loaf
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- garlic powder - 1 clove
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- soft bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 6 oz
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- parsley - 2 Tbsp
- tomato juice - 1/3 c
- lean ground beef - 2 lb
How to make sicilian meat loaf:
Mix all ingredients, except cheese, on wax paper. Pat meat to a 12 x 10-inch rectangle. Sprinkle cheese on top of meat mixture. Starting from short end, roll up meat, using wax paper to lift. Seal all edges well. Place roll seam side down in a baking pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 1 1/4 hours or until done.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Meatloaf.
