Ingredients/Components

  • diced onions - 2 c
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • oil - 3 Tbsp
  • ground chuck - 1 lb
  • cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • basil - 1/4 tsp
  • minced parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • boiling water - 4 qt
  • lasagna noodles - 1/2 lb
  • Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 lb
  • Ricotta cheese - 1 lb
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c

How to make lasagna:

Add mushrooms to sauce and use for spaghetti sauce.

Saute onions and garlic in oil until tender. Add meat. Cook until crumbly. Add tomato sauce, oregano, basil, parsley, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. To boiling water add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon oil. Slowly add noodles. Reduce heat and boil for about 15 minutes. Drain and add cool water to cover. Preheat oven to 350°. Drain noodles and pat dry with paper towels.

Spread 1/2 cup sauce in baking dish. Cover with single layer of noodles. Top with Mozzarella cheese. Spread Ricotta cheese. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and top with sauce. Repeat, ending with noodles. Spread remaining Ricotta cheese. Sprinkle with Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake 30 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and serve.
