Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 5 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • nutmeg - 2 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • nuts - 1 c
  • raisins - 1/2 lb
  • cream - 3/4 c
  • cloves - 2 tsp
  • jam - 2 c
  • allspice - 2 tsp
  • pinch of soda - 1 item

How to make jam cake:

Icing:3 c. brown sugar3/4 c. cream pinch of salt pinch of soda2 Tbsp. butter Cake: Mix all ingredients, then add 1 cup buttermilk, 1/2 pound raisins and 1 cup nuts. Bake at 250°, about 4 hours.

Icing: Boil until forms a soft ball, then pour on cake.
