- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- brown sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- nutmeg - 2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- nuts - 1 c
- raisins - 1/2 lb
- cream - 3/4 c
- cloves - 2 tsp
- jam - 2 c
- allspice - 2 tsp
- pinch of soda - 1 item
How to make jam cake:
Icing:3 c. brown sugar3/4 c. cream pinch of salt pinch of soda2 Tbsp. butter Cake: Mix all ingredients, then add 1 cup buttermilk, 1/2 pound raisins and 1 cup nuts. Bake at 250°, about 4 hours.Icing: Boil until forms a soft ball, then pour on cake.
