Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • shredded cabbage - 2 c
  • sliced carrots - 3 item
  • elbow macaroni - 1/2 c
  • can tomatoes - 1 oz
  • diced onions - 1 c
  • frozen green beans - 1 c
  • water or more - 2 3
  • can red kidney beans undrained - 1 oz
  • to 3 stalks sliced celery - 2 item
  • beef granules 3 pkg - 5 tsp

How to make italian vegetable soup:

Brown beef and drain. Add all ingredients except cabbage, green beans and macaroni. Bring to a boil. Lower heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add cabbage, beans and macaroni. Bring to boil; simmer until vegetables are tender.

If you prefer thinner soup, add additional water or broth. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
