Italian spaghetti with meat sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- water - 3 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
- ground beef - 2 lb
- medium onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- cloves garlic, crushed - 2 item
- green pepper, finely chopped - 1 item
- bay leaf, crushed - 1 item
- oregano leaves - 1 tsp
- each tomato sauce - 2 cans
- pitted ripe olives, drained and sliced - 1 can
- each tomato paste - 2 cans
- Italian style spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms - 2 envelopes
- Italian style spaghetti - 16 oz
How to make italian spaghetti with meat sauce:
Cook and stir meat, onion and pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti and Parmesan cheese. Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.Cook spaghetti as directed on package; drain. Serve meat sauce over spaghetti; pass Parmesan cheese. Serves 8.
