Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- cold water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- plain flour - 6 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1 c
How to make icebox rolls:
Cream the sugar, salt and shortening. Add egg; mix well. Pour in lukewarm water; stir until yeast dissolves. Add cold water and flour. Let stand overnight in refrigerator. Make out rolls a few hours before baking. Bake at 425°.Recipe categories: Breads, Vegetarian, Yeast breads.
