  • eggs - 3 item
  • salt
  • flour
  • brown sugar
  • soda
  • cream of tartar - 3/4 tsp
  • white sugar
  • shortening or 3 sticks margarine
  • chopped pecans or more if desired - 1 c

How to make icebox cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, then add all other ingredients that have been combined. Makes about 4 rolls. Refrigerate at least overnight. Makes dozens of cookies so you have fresh cookies whenever you want them. Will keep for weeks if wrapped tightly.
