- eggs - 2 item
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- plain flour
- light brown sugar - 2 c
- chopped nuts preferably walnuts - 1 c
How to make icebox cookies:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat together. Mix together flour and nuts; add to mixture. Chill several hours. Form 1-inch oblong rolls (approximately 4). Cut in round disks. Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes or until brown. Yields 4 to 5 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Egg, Cookie and brownie.
