Ingredients/Components

  • beef short ribs - 4 lb
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • medium onions, sliced - 2 item
  • can tomato sauce - 15 oz
  • water - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • vinegar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • 4 1/2 c - 6 oz

How to make hungarian short ribs:

In Dutch oven, brown meat in hot oil. Add onions; blend together tomato sauce, first 1 cup water, brown sugar, vinegar, salt, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce; pour over meat. Cover and simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Skim off fat. Stir in noodles and second 1 cup of water. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes or until noodles are tender. About 6 to 8 servings.
