Ingredients/Components

  • paprika - 1 item
  • chopped onions - 4 c
  • caraway seed - 1/2 tsp
  • carrots - 2 c
  • potatoes - 2 c
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • olive oil - 2 Tbsp
  • cayenne pepper - 1 item
  • can tomatoes - 1 oz
  • garlic
  • beef
  • cans beef broth - 2 item
  • large bell pepper - 1 item
  • rutabagas - 2 c
  • yogurt or sour cream - 1 item

How to make hungarian goulash soup:

Brown beef and saute onion, garlic, caraway seed, paprika and cayenne. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add tomatoes and bell pepper and water to equal 3 cups. Cook until meat and vegetables are tender, for 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with dollop of cream.
