Hungarian goulash soup
Ingredients/Components
- paprika - 1 item
- chopped onions - 4 c
- caraway seed - 1/2 tsp
- carrots - 2 c
- potatoes - 2 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- cayenne pepper - 1 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- garlic
- beef
- cans beef broth - 2 item
- large bell pepper - 1 item
- rutabagas - 2 c
- yogurt or sour cream - 1 item
How to make hungarian goulash soup:
Brown beef and saute onion, garlic, caraway seed, paprika and cayenne. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add tomatoes and bell pepper and water to equal 3 cups. Cook until meat and vegetables are tender, for 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with dollop of cream.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Meat, Beef.
