Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- lukewarm water - 1/2 c
- regular yeast - 1 pkg
How to make hot rolls:
Dissolve first 3 ingredients and set aside. Mix water, shortening and salt. When all ingredients are melted and cool, add 1 beaten egg. Mix all ingredients well. Add 3 cups plain unsifted flour. Knead well with mixture. Place in the refrigerator overnight, covered. Let rise and knead again. Roll out and let rise at least 1 1/2 hours before baking.
