Hot chicken salad casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 tsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- diced celery - 1 c
- onion - 2 tsp
- chopped, cooked chicken - 2 2
- hard-boiled eggs - 2 item
- crushed potato chips or Chinese noodles - 1 c
How to make hot chicken salad casserole:
Melt butter; add flour, then stir in chicken broth. Cook, stirring until mixture thickens. Add all remaining ingredients except the chips. Arrange 1/2 of chips on the bottom of a casserole dish. Add chicken mixture and top with remaining chips. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until it bubbles.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
