Hot chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- grated Cheddar cheese
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- can mushrooms - 4 oz
- slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- can condensed cream of chicken soup - 1/2 item
- can water chestnuts, drained - 8 oz
- hard-cooked eggs, sliced - 3 item
- celery, finely cut - 2 c
- can fried onions, crushed
- whole, cooked chicken breasts 1-inch cubes - 4 item
How to make hot chicken salad:
Topping:1 c. grated Cheddar cheese3 1/2 oz. can fried onions, crushed Mix all ingredients, except topping. Turn into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole or pan. Top with cheese. Bake 30 minutes at 350°. Sprinkle onions over all. Bake 15 minutes loRecipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, One Dish meal.
