egg, beaten - 1 item
mayonnaise - 1/2 c
slices white bread - 8 item
dash of black pepper - 1 item
slices bacon - 8 item
small onion, grated - 1 item
shredded sharp Cheddar - 1 c

How to make hot cheese toast:

Cook bacon and drain. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, except bread and bacon. Crumble bacon and add to mixture, then set aside. Cut crusts from bread slices on all sides. Spread each slice generously with cheese mixture. Cut each slice into 3 strips. Place on baking sheet; cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Bake at 350° for 7 to 10 minutes. Serve hot.
