Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 5 c
- dry yeast dissolved in 1/2 c - 1 pkg
How to make hot biscuits:
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Stir in yeast mixture and buttermilk. Roll and cut out. Cook at 450° until brown. This dough may be covered and refrigerated for several days and used as needed.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Rolls/biscuits.
