Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- chili powder - 3 Tbsp
- onion salt - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano - 2 Tbsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- ground cumin - 1 Tbsp
- stalk celery, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- celery salt - 1 tsp
- cans water - 3 item
- can kidney beans - 1 item
- can beef broth - 1 item
- ground chuck - 3 lb
- large can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
- can Spanish-style tomato sauce - 1 item
- 1/2 cans special tomato sauce - 1 item
- to 2 cans tomatoes and green chilies - 1 item
How to make hillbilly chili:
Brown meat with onion, pepper and celery in skillet; drain off fat. In a 6-quart Dutch oven, combine sauces and seasonings. Add meat and beans, if desired. Cook until thick.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Chili.
