Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 5 tsp
- margarine - 3/4 c
- yeast softened in 1/4 c - 1 pkg
How to make heavenly biscuits:
Sift together dry ingredients, cut in shortening. Stir in buttermilk and yeast. Turn out on floured board and knead. Leave dough in refrigerator and take out as much as needed. Roll about 1/2-inch thick and cut into biscuits. Bake at 425° until brown (about 12 to 15 minutes).Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, High calcium.
