Hearty beef stew
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- water - 3 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- barley - 1/2 c
- can 2 c - 1 lb
- bacon - 1/2 lb
- envelope onion soup mix - 1 3/8
- beef for stew, cut into 3/4 inch cubes - 2 lb
- can Veg-All homestyle-mixed vegetables including juice - 1 oz
How to make hearty beef stew:
Coat beef with flour seasoned with salt and mustard. Cut bacon 1 inch pieces; fry in Dutch oven. Remove bacon pieces; add beef to bacon drippings. Brown beef on all sides.
