German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- potatoes - 2 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- bacon - 1/4 lb
How to make german potato salad:
Cut cooked potatoes in 1/8-inch slices; sprinkle salt, pepper, mustard, sugar and flour. Heat water and vinegar to boiling. Put bacon, sliced and chopped fine, in skillet; fry light brown. Add onion and brown. Add potatoes and hot vinegar; heat to absorb vinegar and serve warm.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
