  • coconut - 2 c
  • maraschino cherries - 1 item
  • cream cheese, softened - 8 oz
  • large can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 item
  • box white cake mix - 1 item
  • nondairy whipped topping - 8 oz

How to make hawaiian cake:

Bake cake according to directions in 2 layer pans or a 9 x 13-inch pan. Cool. Blend milk gradually into cream cheese and prepare pudding using this mixture. Spread on top of cake layers. Top with pineapple. Frost with whipped topping. Sprinkle with coconut and garnish with maraschino cherries. Keeps well and gets even better after a couple of days in the refrigerator.
