Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk
- salt - 1/3 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- lemon juice - 1/3 c
- butter, melted - 1 Tbsp
- rind of 1 lemon
How to make lemon sponge:
Beat egg yolks until thick. Add lemon. Mix sugar, flour and salt; add to egg mixture. Stir in melted butter and milk. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Put in 10-inch pie pan. Bake in hot oven at 450° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Egg, Lemon.
