  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  • margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • beets - 1 pt

How to make harvard beets:

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add vinegar and beet liquid. Cook and stir constantly until thickened and clear. Add beets and margarine. Heat and serve.

Note: You can use 3 or 4 fresh beets.
