- sugar - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- minced onion - 1 tsp
- hot beets, sliced or diced - 3 c
How to make harvard beets:
In a large saucepan, mix sugar, salt and cornstarch; stir in vinegar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened. Add butter, onions and beets. Heat for 20 minutes.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
