Hamburger soup
Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1 lb
- chopped onions - 1 c
- chopped celery - 3 c
- sliced carrots - 3 c
- medium potatoes, cubed - 3 item
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 1/2
- MBT beef broth or au jus powder or 2 cans beef broth - 2 pkg
- chopped bay leaf - 1/2 tsp
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- dried parsley - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make hamburger soup:
Saute onions and celery. Brown hamburger. Put in slow cooker; add rest of vegetables. Change flavor by adding more spices or salsa. If done on burner, simmer for 30 minutes on medium. Be careful not to scorch; stir often. Freezes well.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Clear soup, Main dish.
