Hearty tomato-beef soup

- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- tomato juice
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- regular rice - 1/3 c
How to make hearty tomato-beef soup:
Saute ground beef, onion and celery in melted butter in large saucepan until meat is well browned. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Makes 2 quarts.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Clear soup, Ground beef.
