Ingredients/Components
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- stalks celery - 2 item
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 8 oz
- large onion - 1 item
- large bell pepper - 1 item
- sausage - 1 lb
- cooked grits - 2 c
How to make grits casserole:
Brown sausage and drain off oil. Chop up pepper, onion and celery. Put pepper, onion and celery in a large saucepan. Cover with water and cook until tender. Mix grits, sausage, pepper, onion and celery together. Spread undiluted cream of mushroom soup on top of these ingredients and sprinkle with grated Cheddar cheese. Put in 400° oven until cheese melts and is bubbly. Salt and pepper to taste.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Main dish, Casseroles.
