Brunch casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- milk
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 3/4 Tbsp
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 3/4
- soup can milk - 1/2 item
- can sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 3/4 lb
- sausage - 3 lb
- slices bread, trimmed and cubed - 8 item
How to make brunch casserole:
Fry sausage. Arrange bread in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Cover with cheese. Scatter sausage over cheese. Beat eggs with milk and mustard and add mushrooms. Pour over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Dilute soup with milk and pour over top. Dot with butter. Bake at 325° for 1 hour. (Place a cookie sheet on lower level shelf in oven to catch spills.)Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
