Green beans with almonds
Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 c
- 5 oz
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- corn oil - 1/2 c
- cubes beef bouillon - 2 item
- chopped onions optional - 1/4 c
- sliced or slivered almonds, toasted - 3/4 c
How to make green beans with almonds:
In a large pan, combine beans, bouillon cubes, water, oil and onions. Bring to a boil on the stove and cook on low heat for 1 hour. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add almonds during last 15 minutes of cooking or use almonds as a garnish when served. Yield: 8 to 12 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Green/yellow beans.
