Ingredients/Components

  • water - 1 c
  • chili powder - 1 2
  • can tomato sauce - 1 item
  • can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
  • ground meat - 1 lb
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
  • bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • macaroni, cooked shell or elbow - 1 item

How to make goulash:

Brown ground meat, add onions and bell pepper, saute until tender with garlic. Drain grease, add salt and pepper, chili powder, tomatoes and sauce. Add water, stir well. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Add to drained, cooked macaroni. Cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Slice cheese, place on top and melt. Serve with garlic toast and tossed salad.
