Ingredients/Components
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- mayonnaise - 3/4 pt
- crushed corn flakes
- stick oleo - 1/3 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- rice - 1 c
- cans cream of chicken soup - 2 item
- broth - 2 c
- fryer - 1 item
How to make chicken casserole:
Boil fryer in salted water. Bone and cut up fryer. Reserve 2 cups broth. Cook celery and rice in broth until broth is absorbed. Add soup and mayonnaise. Add chicken. Put in 8 x 10-inch casserole dish. Top with crushed corn flakes and oleo. Bake 1 hour at 325°.May add chopped hard-boiled eggs or sliced water chestnuts or almonds, if desired.
